The Australian virgin oils used are naturally exceptionally antibacterial, antimicrobial and antifungal. Tasmanian pepper, in particular, has proven itself. One thousandth is enough to kill a wide variety of bacteria and molds, including ecoli, staphylococci and salmonella ("Antimicrobial activity of Tasmanian pepper leaf and berry extracts" Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation, August 2012).

The vast majority of hand sanitizers rely on a high alcohol content to achieve their effectiveness. The result is both a dangerously flammable product and a product that is very drying to the skin. Often they also contain synthetic chemicals (e.g. behentrimonium chloride) - especially the hospital grade variants - which are harmful to both health and the environment.

Bondi Wash has developed an all-natural product with less alcohol that still meets all relevant laboratory testing standards! This took a few years and included numerous independent laboratory tests (each test method cost over $1,000, or over $4,000 in the case of influenza and Covid-19). Part of the challenge was to develop a formulation that is not too sticky, non-combustible, nourishing to the hands, not too alcoholic and stable in storage.

This formula is a spray and can also be used as a disinfectant on surfaces such as steering wheels, sneakers, furniture, credit cards, shoes and cell phones. It can also be safely sprayed on the lids of 'to go' coffee cups.

Suitable for pregnant women and children from 2 years.

Shake well, spray in hands, rub together and wait 30 seconds for it to dry. Can also be used on surfaces and in the air to kill germs.
